More Floridians Benefit from Lifeline Telephone Discount Program

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Public Service Commission’s (PSC) annual report on Lifeline Assistance and Link-Up Florida shows enrollment continues to rise. Customers benefitting from the telephone discount programs increased by 3.8 percent from July 2009 through June 2010, reaching 642,129 participants.

PSC Advances Prepaid Wireless Lifeline Assistance

TALLAHASSEE — Virgin Mobile is the second prepaid wireless provider to be designated by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) as an eligible telecommunications carrier (ETC) to offer the Lifeline Assistance discount telephone service program in Florida.  Commissioners unanimously approved the designation at today’s PSC Agenda Conference.
